The historical decision for the restoration of Honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad
Chaudary was welcomed in the meeting of General Body of Islamabad Bar
Association held on 21-07-2007.It was unanimously decided by the members
of Islamabad Bar Association that they shall continue their unequivocal
support and struggle till the subsistence of democracy in the country
and elimination of the intervention of
establishment/Military/Bureaucracy from the democratic institutions.

A Resolution was moved on 14-06-07 before the General
Body of the House and the act of Mr. Ahmed Raza Qasori Advocate for the
Government was unanimously condemned the for calling the Advocates
agents of India. It was decided that his entrance in the Bar Room and
Library is completely banned. The Bar Association decided not to provide
him the hospitality due to such derogatory remarks.

On the same day i.e 14-06-07 three members of the
Islamabad Bar Association namely Ch. Naseer Ahmed, Rafiq-ur-Rehman
Sanjarani and Rai Ahmed Nawaz Kharal for carrying activities against the
instruction of Punjab Bar Council and Pakistan Bar Council were
Dismembered. The Islamabad Bar Association has also banned their entry
in the Bar Association and Library.

It was resolved in the meeting of General Body that Islamabad Bar
Association shall resist the shifting of District Courts to new court
complex unless and until Chambers are provided to all the members in the
premises of new court complex.
