Welcome to Islamabad Bar Association Islamabad Bar Association being capital bar of the country was established in 1980. Since its inception, Islamabad Bar attracted a large number of practicing lawyers from different parts of the country to be its members. With a humble start of just few members, now it has become a Bar of over 1500 members.Islamabad Bar has distinction to have members from all the four provinces of the country, hence it is a beautiful combination of professional expertise and cultural diversity. Islamabad Bar is one of the few Bars that has been an active contributory/host of a number of law events including International Conferences. In law making process, contribution of Islamabad Bar has also been significant and its members have been making suggestions and proposals on different aspects of proposed laws to be enacted by the Parliament. Islamabad Bar is also proud to be an unequivocal advocate and supporter of the rule of law and administration of justice in the country. Islamabad Bar is headed and supervised by an elected President who is assisted by a Vice President, General Secretary, Library Secretary, Finance Secretary, Auditor, Joint Secretary and ten Executive Members. Elected cabinet of the Bar is responsible for managing its affairs, admission of new members, calling/holding of meetings and taking decision in respect of administrative matters of the Bar. Islamabad Bar is a forum to facilitate its members and a source to maintain a healthy relationship between the Bench and the Bar. |
